Percat took on the sport's biggest names, McLaughlin, Whincup and Van Gisbergen, in the 32-lap race and won by over three seconds from seven-time Champion Jamie Whincup.
"I'm just so happy for Brad (team owner Brad Jones) and the whole team at BJR," Percat said after getting put of his car.
Starting from 6th, Percat made a great start and soon started rounding up those ahead of him.
"When I went past Shane (2018 Champion Van Gisbergen), I thought: "I'm on here!" I didn't say anything to the team on the radio, but I thought we should just throw good tyres at it in the pit stop and we'll be in with a real shot to win it."
Brad Jones was ecstatic saying: "This is a great reward for all the guys and girls at BJR. They work hard and are very good at what they do. To win a race in this category is a very hard thing to do. We had quick cars all weekend, we qualified well and then Nick and Todd drove very strongly, to get us some very good results. But to see Nick on top step is really great for him and the team. This is something for us to build on now and I'm looking forward to Winton next month to keep the momentum up."
