Almost half of Lavington's premiership list will play this year with Tom Hargreave and Andrew Mackinlay the latest permit departures, linking up with former Panther Jack Nunn at Gungahlin in Canberra.
Wangaratta's Will Reilly and James McClounan and former Lavington and Moama defender Jack Harland will also join Nunn.
Simon Curtis, Aidan Johnston, Nick Meredith, Tim Hanna and Martin Brennan have already committed to Ainslie.
Nico Sedgwick will play for East Wagga-Kooringal and laconic forward Adam Flagg could return to home club Northern Jets.
Wodonga big-man McKye Turner has applied for a clearance to The Rock-Yerong Creek while Wodonga Raider Shane Munro will reunite with home club Temora.
"My old house mate Mitch Stephenson is playing there and he gave me a call and I thought why not," Turner said.
"It will be good fun."
Wangaratta premiership player Ben Speight is considering a stint in Cairns.
Speight has previously spoken with Cairns City Lions and made a phone call after the O and M was cancelled last Thursday, with the club lodging a clearance before the June 30 deadline.
"If I do play, it will be as a fly-in, fly-out," Speight said.
"The borders have got to open up for us to get into Queensland obviously and it's got to work in with family, there's not many flights into Cairns."
More high-profile players are set to lodge applications in the next 24 hours with a permit clearing them back to the Ovens and Murray on November 1.
The Ovens and Murray, Tallangatta and Upper Murray leagues called off their seasons late last week after a dramatic spike in coronavirus numbers in Victoria.
