With the AWFA season abandoned on Sunday night, just two weeks out from its proposed restart date, Wangaratta and Myrtleford players are considering a switch to the Suns to keep their chances of seeing some football in 2020 alive.
Wangaratta defender Stoycho Ivanov and the Devils' English imports Ellis Williamson and Jack Oldham have reached out to the Suns.

Myrtleford co-coach Matt Park is also on the radar, having previously considered a move to the club in 2018.
Suns coach Craig Carley revealed Football Victoria has instructed clubs they are only allowed to amend up to three spots in the squad due to COVID-19 guidelines.

"At this stage we have only lost two players, one visa and one local," Carley said.
"To be honest, I am not looking to make wholesale changes to my squad anyway.
"The boys have done two pre-seasons now and have been loyal over many years, so if we get anyone in they will have to certainly have to impress to make the difference in the squad."
