July 26 has been penciled in for the competition to commence after the board met with clubs on Monday night.
All eight clubs voted in favour of playing this season following a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
An initial fixture will be released for the first three rounds with finals set to be on the cards at this stage.
Under the altered season, only COVID-19 permits into teams will be permitted, while no change rooms or canteens will operate on game day.
Players must arrive ready to play and leave the ground at the completion of their match.
AWJFL chairman Stuart Lingham said there was no hesitation from clubs who all wanted to see an opportunity for the league's juniors in 2020.

"All eight clubs were definite in that the kids want to play footy," Lingham said.
"Kids need it and that's what the clubs were consistently telling us.
"They need to get out and play for their physical and mental health.
"The clubs have assured us that they can meet all of the guidelines and protocols that have been put in place."
Clubs indicated that they had been receiving good numbers at training with enthusiasm amongst players, as well as having backing from volunteers to help implement COVID-19 protocols.
The decision comes following the announcement last week that there will be no senior football played in the Ovens and Murray league this year.
However, the door has still been left open for the O and M's under-18 players at this stage.
Lingham admitted the junior league may be flexible in when games can be played, with Saturdays now an option given there will be no senior football.
"We've got that flexibility if we wish to take it up," he said.
The league will continue to monitor the coronavirus situation and may review or halt the season if the need arises to ensure the safety of players, coaches, volunteers and parents.
Each club must also complete Infection Control Training online for the season.
More specific details surrounding the Albury-Wodonga Junior Football League season will be finalised in the coming weeks, including what finals may look like.
