The Tigers were officially granted admission into the Riverina league after a board meeting on Tuesday night.
They signed Elliott Powell, Tom Johnson and Harry Weaven last weekend in anticipation of switching leagues and a huge boost to their finals aspirations.
The Tigers were well under its player points allocation last season with only 27 out of 38 points used in their grand final side which comprised mostly local talent.
Mackie said the Tigers learnt over the weekend that their player points in the Riverina league will be 36.
"We look like we could struggle with our points if everybody is available," Mackie said.
"We only just learnt that we have two less points in the Riverina league.
"The other dilemma is that there are four on the bench in the Riverina league and not three like the Hume league."

Mackie said the Tigers were likely to be two points over if they had a full-list.
"Depending on who we are playing and the make-up of our side it could be a squeeze," he said.
"But we have been able to land some real quality recruits.
"I'd rather have points pressure than sit on our hands and get left behind with all the other clubs landing O&M recruits as well."
