Lane and Bice, who have strong family ties, will play together for the first time when the Eagles kick-off on July 18.

Lane has previously spent three years with Narrandera, including two as coach, and jumped at the chance to return after the Ovens and Murray called off its season last week.

"The club asked if I was keen and I'm looking forward to going back," Lane said.

"It will be good to catch up with everyone again.

"It's a good club and I'll play as much as I can."

Lane caused a sensation in the Riverina league in 2018 when he took out the Jim Quinn Medal despite Narrandera failing to win a match.

He won Narrandera's best and fairest in his three years with the club before returning to Corowa-Rutherglen last season and taking out the Roos' top honour.

Bice was best afield in Albury's third grade grand final win over Wangaratta in 2017 and has gone on to play senior football for the Tigers when free of Murray Bushrangers commitments.

The dashing left-footer kicked 24 goals in 16 matches for Albury last season.

Narrandera president Mark Savage is delighted to have Lane back at the club.

"He's very well respected around the league, 'Laney'," Savage said.

"Out of the players coming in, there's not going to be many better than Jarred.

"He goes to any standard as a footballer.

"He had a great year last year in the O and M.

"It doesn't matter where he plays."

Savage is also confident Bice will be a handy addition as Narrandera attempt to build on last season's eighth placing and three wins.

"He plays a bit of everywhere," Savage said.

"I think he played TAC Cup, as well as first grade at Albury.

"He missed out on the draft but has been pretty handy.

"There should be a bit of interest, along with the locals we've got, hopefully we can stay competitive.

In other clearance developments, Lachie and Adam Flagg are set to be joined at Farrer league heavyweights Northern Jets by former Yarrawonga enforcer Tim McAuley.

McAuley was set to play for Berrigan before the Picola league called off its season earlier this week.

The rugby league convert is a former captain of Temora and will ensure the Jets start the season as hot premiership favourites.
