Sharks star Leah Dodd is set to coach the open women's side, with the team to hold selections in the coming weeks.
Dodd said there has been a lot of interest in the cup following the cancellation of majority of the water polo calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The women's side has had previous success at the event.
Junior sides have been selected, while no coach has been appointed for the men's team yet.
Tyson Mutsch and Kristy Hogan will coach the under-17's teams, while Shannon Gould and Darcy Millet will lead the under-14's in Canberra.
