Come day one of the border closure, residents waited up to two hours to cross the Lincoln Causeway from Wodonga to Albury and while things were smoother the morning of day two, traffic slowed to an agonising crawl by the afternoon peak hour.
NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said the checkpoint would likely be in place for at least six weeks.
