The AWFA club was set to face Tolland in the opening round of the season on Sunday, but the fixture has been abandoned after NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian advised against people travelling to and from the Border.
City coach Ricky Piltz said his side's plans will be put on hold for a week.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"It's one week at a time and this week we won't be travelling up," he said.
"We're still in the competition and there will be discussions on whether the games we miss are draws.
"We can understand where Wagga is coming from and we're doing everything we can to assure them, but it's up in the air at the moment.
"We'll see what happens next week because three things happened in one day. They might push the borders south or north and that could have an effect as well."
City beat Lake Albert 4-0 in a practice match last weekend.
