As expected, Almond stepped down from the coaching role this week.
The mark of anyone, in all aspects of life, is to leave the place in a stronger position.
"He certainly has, I think if we had played this year, it would have proven how much we'd changed and what Marc had done," Hosier said.
The Roos hadn't won a game since late 2015 when Almond took over in 2018.
