Henri's Wodonga Bakery have made the decision to make wearing masks mandatory for staff.
The call comes after Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews encouraged regional Victorians to wear masks when out in public where social distancing can not be adhered to.
He also announced on Sunday masks are now mandatory when going out in public in metropolitan Melbourne and in the Mitchell Shire.
A $200 fine will be handed out for those not following the rules.
Henri's said given the limited space behind the counter made social distancing a challenge.
"For the safety of our customers, and staff we will now be wearing face masks," a Facebook post said on Saturday.

"It can be hard for our staff to physically distance from each other while working behind the counter so we welcome this step towards the fight against COVID-19."
Wodonga GP clinic Central Medical Group have also made the safety call.
"Next time you visit our clinic, you will notice our staff wearing face masks," the clinic said.
"Behind the masks are our same friendly faces who are always here to care for you."
