Movie-lovers will have to wait at least another month until seeing new releases on the big screen.
Regent Cinemas Albury made the "tough decision" to push back their reopening date due to the tightening of border restrictions.
Manager Kelly Davis said the new rules simply meant opening again "wasn't viable" for the business.
"We were due to open for customers next week but now we are aiming at that mid to late August mark," she said.
"Unfortunately when you cut out our Wodonga customers there goes 40 per cent of our business.

"It just didn't make sense to reopen now and with big movies being pushed back as well we wouldn't have a lot of new releases to show.
"We just wait and see over the next four weeks and hope the restrictions ease up a bit by then, but we know anything could happen."
