The NSW government has bowed to pressure and extended the blue zone border closure map to include previously excluded parts of Wodonga including Leneva and Killara.
Large residential areas of Wodonga such as Riverside estate in Killara and Grace Christian College in Leneva were left out of the original blue zone map ahead of the more stringent border closure rules came into effect on Wednesday.
But, rural towns, including Tallangatta, Kiewa, Barnawartha, Rutherglen, Chiltern, Beechworth and Yackandandah remain otuside the blue zone, posing major issues for people who need to travel to Albury for work and healthcare reasons.
On the NSW side, Bungowannah was initially excluded from the blue zone, but has been included in the updated mapping.
"This morning we've been able to have Ebden, Killara, Bonegilla and Leneva confirmed as being added to community zone," member for Albury Justin Clancy said.
"I appreciate that there are many people still impacted & will continue to chase further."

His Victorian Liberal counterpart, Bill Tilley, said the changes would be welcomed by some, but challenges remained for others.
"Since NSW announced the move to tighter restrictions, Justin Clancy, myself and our respective teams have been burning the candle at both ends advocating and communicating the pain felt by our residents and businesses on both sides of the river.
"This was about offering solutions to the highest levels of government.
"Unfortunately, it is and will be a continuing work in progress."
