Ross Lyndon's daughter, Kirsten, featured in the first episode of the Channel 7 show last night.

"We moved up from Melbourne 28 years ago, and Kirsten was born in Corowa," he said.

"She went to Corowa High and after graduating went to uni in NSW - she's lived up there since, working in public relations."

The 28-year-old returns to Corowa regularly and Mr Lyndon said he was looking forward to seeing his daughter on the show.

"I'm a little bit anxious, just seeing it back, it will be interesting," he said.

Kirsten was one of eight women who met "farmer Sam" in Sunday night's episode, a third-generation tropical fruit farmer from Innisfail in North Queensland.

The 28-year-old chose Kirsten as one of four women out of eight who he would like to stay on his farm.

Kirsten didn't speak on camera during the first episode, but says in her profile that she finds Sam "down-to-Earth".

"I originally grew up in the country and always imagined life settling down there," she said.

"Since I moved to the city, I didn't realise how hard it would be to meet a really decent, genuine and loyal guy.

"I don't think there's anyone more genuine than a man from the country!"
