The Border has had a disappointing July with less than half the average monthly rainfall.
The Bureau of Meteorology's Albury Airport weather station recorded just 30.4 millimetres across the month, with the highest fall coming on July 4 with 9.4 millimetres.
The mean monthly rainfall for Albury-Wodonga is 65.3 millimetres.
July 13 was the only other substantial rainfall the region saw this month with 8.4 millimetres recorded.
While the official start of spring is still 31 days away, a glimpse of warmer weather shone through in the twin cities on Tuesday with a top of 18.6 degrees.
This was the highest temperature all month.
