Takissacod will tackle the $75,000 Highway Class Three Plate (1800m) at Rosehill with son, Brodie, booked to ride.
The four-year-old mare was narrowly beaten at Leeton last month in her first start for Loy.
Takissacod ran third in a Highway last year for previous trainer Scott Spackman.
Loy expected Takissacod to run a cheeky race.
"She has been there once before and ran a placing," Loy said.
"If you have a look at the replay she was a bit unlucky.
"She has settled into my stables really well, ran well for me at Leeton, so I thought I may as well have a throw at the stumps and head to Rosehill."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Takissacod boasts a handy record of three wins and three minor placings from 13 career starts.
She is quoted a $19-chance in fixed odds markets and has drawn gate six.
Loy said the Paul Messara-trained Total Recall looked the testing material.
"Messara's horse looks the hardest to beat," he said.
"But I think my mare goes all right and is a handy little mare.
"She is going from a mile to 1800m and I think she is a stayer in the making.
"She does settle well but she is still immature."
