Connor Tristian Thorn-Barnstable appeared relaxed in a video link to Sydney's Long Bay jail on being committed this week for sentence in the District Court.
A large quantity of MDMA tablets, more than $50,000 in cash, methamphetamine and other illicit drugs, illegal weapons including a loaded and shortened revolver and evidence of drug deals were uncovered when police searched his home in Sundew Court on October 16.
IN OTHER NEWS:
But the unraveling of his drugs business happened only, Albury Local Court has heard, because his house-mate called police shortly after three men forced their way into their house.
All that was stolen was Thorn-Barnstable's car keys and his wallet.
When police arrived, Thorn-Barnstable consented to a search. Inside a desk in his lounge room police found 251 MDMA, or ecstasy, tablets, a large number of resealable bags, a large amount of cash and a Taser device.
Four hours after the 4am break-in, Thorn-Barnstable, now 23, was placed under arrest at the Albury police station.
He admitted to owning the items in the desk and indicated he had been "selling" small amounts of drugs "for a little bit of money".
Thorn-Barnstable then gave police consent to continue their search.
This uncovered a knuckle duster flick knife, a trench knife, $54,820 in cash, a shortened, .357 calibre Magnum revolver with three live rounds in the cylinder, ammunition including .22 rounds, another 20 MDMA tablets, methamphetamine spread across multiple resealable bags, cannabis leaf, seeds and oil, cocaine and ketamine.
A series of charges were laid, of which he was committed on three: two counts of supply a prohibited drug at greater than an indictable but less than a commercial quantity and supplying at greater than a commercial quantity.
RELATED:
He admitted to ownership of all the tablets, $20,000 in cash, the prohibited weapons and ammunition.
All up, police seized 360.94 grams of methamphetamine, 85.03 grams of MDMA, 109.56 grams of cocaine, 7.7 grams of ketamine, 1.9939 kilograms of cannabis leaf, 5.8 grams of cannabis seeds and 19.3 grams of cannabis oil.
He was also committed on a recently laid charge of supplying a prohibited drug, with the balance of 62 identical charges withdrawn.
This related to Thorn-Barnstable supplying 522.2 grams of cannabis across 59 transactions between January 25 and October 10, 2019.
The case will be mentioned in the District Court in Albury on August 21.
