A Victorian woman has been fined $1000 after being caught playing a gaming machine in an Albury venue.

Police spoke to the 50-year-old at the SS&A Club about 1pm on Thursday while conducting a walk-through.
She provided a Victorian licence and a permit allowing her to enter NSW only for work.
The woman lives on the Border.

She was fined, removed from the venue and sent back across the border.
"Police continue to appeal to the community to report suspected breaches of any ministerial direction or behaviour which may impact on the health and safety of the community," a spokesman said.
