A large number of people are expected to watch Garry Corcoran's service following his passing last week.
The retired senior sergeant, husband, father of four and grandfather had a short battle with cancer.
He was well known in sporting circles with links to Wodonga Bulldogs, Wodonga Raiders and Myrtleford Saints.

Senior Sergeant Shane Martin said the officer of nearly 40 years, who retired in 2013, would be missed by many.
"He was a well loved and respected policeman in the Wodonga community," he said.
"His demeanour just drew you in instantly.
"You couldn't help but walk away with a smile on your face.
"He loved his family and he will be missed by everyone who knew him."
