Restaurants and cafes have been rocked by increasingly tighter border closures amid the coronavirus crisis followed by stage three restrictions returning to regional Victoria.
Wodonga-based La Maison Restaurant and Bar has teamed up with Albury businesses Murray River Smokehouse and Almar Organics to distribute meals north of the border.
La Maison Restaurant owner Wassim Saliba said he was beyond grateful.
He offered his ready-made restaurant meals at Almar for the first time last Friday.
"The response was better than we anticipated," he said.
"We returned on Saturday and sold out. It was really comforting because there were so many familiar faces; we felt like we were at home."
Saliba said they only offered food made from scratch such as meals, gnocchi, bread, sauces and gelato.
"Our main focus was to bring our food to the other side of the border."
