A man will face court next month after being charged at a border checkpoint at Corowa on Friday night.

NSW Police were performing duties on Federation Way, Corowa, at about 6.30pm, when they stopped a 40-year-old male driver attempting to enter NSW.
After carrying out the relevant permit checks, an inspection of the vehicle revealed the car was unregistered and when the man was searched, police seized a bag alleged to contain ice.

The man was taken to Corowa Police Station and charged with possess prohibited drug and was issued with a number of traffic infringements notices.
He is due to appear at Corowa Local Court on September 23.
