A man has been arrested after crossing the border into Albury using a railway bridge.

Murray River Police District said they arrested a 24-year-old man on Saturday afternoon after he crossed from Victoria into NSW along the Albury railway bridge.
"It will be alleged the male had no authority to enter NSW, and was in possession of a prohibited weapon," a police statement said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"He was charged with a number of offences including breach of border control restrictions and refused bail.
"All border crossings continue to be closely monitored.
