Hicks Beef are preparing for their spring sale with the expectation that many Victorian clients may have to work remotely.
With the realisation that Covid-19 will prevent interstate clients from physically attending the sale Hicks Beef are doing all they can to make it easier for these clients at this year's Spring sale.
The sale will be operating on AuctionsPlus as well as on farm, as it has for the past 15 years.
"We have a photo and a video of every lot, available on the website," Tom Hicks said.
Inspections of the sale bulls are also welcomed. If you cannot visit yourself, consider asking a NSW friend to inspect on your behalf.
The bulls are all veterinarian checked for breeding soundness by Holbrook Vet Centre and independently assessed for structural soundness by Liam Cardile.
The bulls have EPDs, genomically enhanced from the world's largest performance data base from IGS, with over 18,000,000 contemporaries.
Every sale lot also has the benefit of an All Purpose Index which assesses the profit that these bulls will generate in your herd.
These figures balance fertility, cow herd intake, calf survival, heifer pregnancy, marbling, carcase yield grade, weaning weight, salvage value and milk.
This focuses on easy-care cattle with low inputs and great carcase values.
The figures on Hicks Beef bulls can now be directly compared to Australian Shorthorns and soon to be Australian Simmentals.
