The Albury Basketball Association junior competition returned this week after five months off due to COVID-19 concerns.
"We were going to start two weeks ago, but decided to hold off with the high cases in Melbourne, we've put a lot of planning in place and following the protocols," coordinator Melissa Daniher said.
Games have staggered start times to reduce the amount of players in the one area and those matches are slightly shorter to allow for sanitisation.
The junior competition boasts 136 teams, catering for around 1300 players, although approximately 150 are ineligible to compete in NSW as they're Victorian based.

Competition runs from Monday to Friday.
"We had our first night on Monday and all the kids left with big smiles, everything went really well and it was just good that the kids are exercising," Daniher said.
