An unlicensed driver who allegedly stole a car from the Cootmaundra airport had been arrested after crashing into a cattle fence in Holbrook.

At about 7.30pm on Wednesday, police received reports of an Isuzu D-Max being driven dangerously on the Hume Highway near Holbrook.
Highway patrol officers gestured for the driver to stop, and when he failed to do so engaged a pursuit.
The ute came to a rest a short time later after crashing into a cattle fence.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Police said the ute was reported stolen from the Coolmundra airport on August 28.
The driver was taken to hospital where he underwent mandatory testing, results are pending.
He was taken to Albury Police Station and charged with six charges of:
- Destroy or damage property (x2)
- Drive recklessly/furiously
- Not comply with direction to stop/move etc
- Never licensed person drive vehicle on road
- Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner
He was refused bail to appear in Albury Court today.
