Man From Snowy River Bush Festival organisers have put the sale of early bird tickets for next year's event on hold due to the ongoing uncertainty being created by COVID-19.

Tickets were due to go on sale next week for the April 8-11 event, but the festival committee decided earlier this week not to release them as scheduled.
The Upper Murray's biggest event, which attracts an estimated 20,000 people each year, is hoping to gain more certainty around permitted crowd numbers and COVID-safe plan requirements by early next year.
Incoming festival chairman Cameron Jackson said it would be irresponsible to start selling tickets in the present environment.

"We also don't think we need to because we've got some amazing people who come to our festival and a lot of them just rolled over their tickets to the next event," he said.
"Just under 30 per cent of our tickets for the 2020 event were refunded.
"We've got immense loyalty and based on that we know people want to come.
"We will be ready to go based on the latest government advice."
Asked about the prospect of festival goers being required to wear face masks, Mr Jackson said: "We will be making Man From Snowy River face masks like there is no tomorrow if people have to wear them."
Member for Benambra Bill Tilley, who is a festival board member, said: "It would be absolutely demoralising if it didn't go ahead in 2021.
"The amount of money it puts back into the community is huge."
