The pair were among 82 girls selected to take part in combines across the country in the lead-up to next month's NAB AFLW draft.
While it remains unclear when Barber will be tested due to the coronavirus outbreak in Victoria, Favell will be put through her paces on September 29.
"It's pretty exciting," Barber, 18, said.
"I've been going to the gym and training with my brother's under-14 team at Lavington to keep fit."
Barber was selected in the AFLW under-18 All Australian team last year after impressing in the forward line for Victoria Country.
She has put basketball and netball on the backburner in recent years to focus on football.
Favell, of Griffith, is coming off a sensational season for the Murray Bushrangers with the midfielder taking out the Daisy Pearce Medal.
