Organiser Sheila Smith made the decision to hold the 2020 event virtually due to safety concerns around coronavirus.
"I wanted to keep our lovely Albury-Wodonga and surrounds community together so I have created a team that you can join," she said in a Facebook post.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Let's set a target again of $10,000 and let's as a local region once again smash this target out of the park."
The event is being held on Sunday, September 27 with locals urged to walk or run 5, 10 or 20 kilometres with family or friends, all while social distancing.
Miss Smith also urged everyone to wear purple on the day.
