Border netball rising star Vashti Muller and Osborne recruit Caren Hugo were crowned joint winners of the A grade best and fairest in the AFL Riverina MVP awards last night.

The former Wodonga Raider polled a maximum nine votes in the final three rounds to tie with Hugo on 10.
Muller, a defender, joined Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes this season after her plans to play in the Victorian Netball League were derailed by COVID-19.
Hugo, a goal shooter, was part of The Rock-Yerong Creek's last three Farrer league premierships.
Muller will line up for the Goannas against Wagga Tigers in Saturday's grand final.

Meanwhile, Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong teenager Matt Hamblin was declared the AFL Riverina Championship best and fairest.
The 17-year-old enhanced his status as one of the region's most promising talents with a runaway victory in the competition's best and fairest award.
Incredibly, Hamblin managed to poll 11 votes from just five games to win the one-off AFL Riverina Championship best and fairest medal by four.
Lions teammate Aaron Proctor finished second on seven votes, with a three-way tie between Wagga Tigers' Shaun Campbell, Turvey Park's Jackson Weidemann and Leeton-Whitton's Ryan Grey for third.
The win should provide a spectacular boost to Hamblin's AFL draft chances, given the shortened competition was rated as the strongest standard of football in the region for decades.
Hamblin, a midfielder and small forward, missed one of the Lions' six games due to Giants Academy duties.
He polled three votes in the Lions' two wins over Turvey Park and big victory over Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes in round five.
Osborne's Rio Weidemann capped off a strong season by claiming the under-17 netball best and fairest.
The vote counts were conducted on AFL Riverina's Facebook page, with medals to be presented on Saturday at the grand final.
