Emergency services were called to a car on fire in Glen Park, off Daniel Street Glenroy, at 5.10am on Thursday.
NSW Fire and Rescue Albury Inspector Frank Finlay said crews arrived to find a utility well alight in the car park near a children's playground.
"Local fire and rescue crews attended the car fire just after 5am," he told The Border Mail.
"They quickly extinguished the blaze but the ute, which was a fairly new Volkswagen Amarok, was unfortunately completely destroyed by fire.
"It took crews around half an hour to put the fire out.
