An Albury schoolgirl hopes to swim faster without the long hair she is cutting off for charity on Saturday.

Jess Leddy, 11, will lose her locks at Zen Day Spa to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation campaign, World's Greatest Shave.
The St Patrick's year 5 student has already passed her goal of $700.
Her father, Paul, said Jess saw the fundraiser advertised on television and wanted to help people and find a cure, particularly as she'd watched her grandmother go through cancer treatment recently.
This year's pandemic prevented a shave at school but Zen Day Spa has offered support, although only a few people will be able to witness the event.

"We're just trying to imagine what it will look like - I'm bald, she's going to look like me a bit," Mr Leddy laughed.
Jess hasn't shown too many nerves as the shave draws closer, but Mr Leddy said he and his wife Danni were "a bit apprehensive".
"We're probably more nervous than her," he said.
"She reckons she'll swim a lot faster next year in the swimming carnival at school."
