Corryong SES crews, most of which are also CFA volunteers, were able to remove CFA trucks and vital firefighting equipment from the Biggara shed after three large gum trees fell on its roof around 3.30pm.
An SES spokeswoman said the storm front made its way through the small part of the Upper Murray around 3pm on Monday afternoon.
"The trees were all more than 20 metres long, so they were quite significant and caused damage to the shed," she said.
"The Corryong SES crews attended the scene, most of which are also CFA volunteers so they were just attending the shed with a different uniform on.
"The crews were back from the callout at around 5pm after the structural integrity of the shed was deemed safe.
"Fortunately there was no damage to any vital firefighting equipment or the trucks."
Farmer Owen Johnstone said while his property wasn't too damaged by the wind, the flash flooding has caused significant damage.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"This is our third flash flooding event since the summer bushfires," he told The Border Mail.
"And I think it causes more damage.
"There is just nothing holding all the dirt and debris.
"Pretty much any trees that weren't burnt in the bushfires were ripped from the ground in the wind.
"The hail was coming down so hard I thought it was going to smash through our kitchen window."
Mr Johnstone said while they only received about 17 millimetres of rain, it all came at once.
"It really only damaged the top end of the valley," he said.
"But we are now facing another week or so of cleaning up after this flooding.
"The dams were clean again after all the debris was removed after the last event, and now they are full of crap again.
"This is just another thing to add to our 2020.
"The only thing worse would be seeing Collingwood win the grand final."
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting more strong winds and wet weather this week.
The SES are calling for people to watch for warnings and secure any loose furniture in backyards when there is strong winds predicted in their area.
