With lockdown restrictions applied to the Border and North East eased by the Victorian and NSW governments, the Border club has launched an eight-week training program for juniors wishing to play in 2021.

Technical director Adam Carty said it's great the club is back in a position to offer its members the chance to start playing again.

"If we've learnt anything from the last six months it's that it is vital at the very least we do whatever we can to allow players the chance to safely play sport and socialise with others," Carty said.

"In a normal year it might sound strange to start in September, but this year has been anything but normal."

Murray United fields under-12s, 13s, 14s, 15s and 16s teams in the Victorian National Premier League.

Sides managed to play seven rounds before the season was brought to a halt in mid-March and officially cancelled this month.
