Harris Farm Markets will soon open its flagship store in Albury.

The 4450-square-metre store will be the largest within Harris Farm's portfolio, employing 150 staff from the local community.

"We chose Albury because it is the hub of a strong agricultural region with a lot of heritage - and it is home to some of the best producers and growers in Australia," Harris Farm Markets co-CEO Tristan Harris said.

"Supporting local is key for Harris Farm.

"We source from local farmers and suppliers, create job opportunities for local residents, and we want to become part of the community by supporting local groups, especially those that encourage kids to engage in healthy eating."

Mr Harris said applications for jobs in the new store were now open.

Construction is already underway, with the store planned to open in the new year.
