Magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim described Kaylab Wrobel's actions, "over a period of time", as "troubling".
Wrobel, 25, pleaded guilty to hindering an investigation.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It was investigated thoroughly as a result of the seriousness of the allegation," Mr Abdul-Karim said in imposing a three-year community corrections order, with a $1000 fine.
