Little separated the two top teams throughout the season, but the Tigers delivered while the Blues stumbled in the biggest game of the year.
A dominant first half performance set up the 40-18 victory at Equex Centre.
Mathew Lyons got things started when he scored a 40-metre try in just the third minute of the game.
It was the first of three tries for the Tigers flyer.
Tumut had chances to hit back only for the errors to stack up and Gundagai didn't need another invitation.
First Dane O'Hehir pinched a kick out of Matt Richards' hands before putting Charlie Barton and the Tigers kept adding to the scoreboard with tries to Jack Lyons and James Luff on their way to the title out by 22 points.
Tumut got one back as Connor Massen scored in the corner just before half-time to make it 22-4.
However there was to be no real comeback as Mathew Lyons scored three minutes after the interval.
Dean Bristow got one back for the Blues when he dived over five minutes later only for Mathew Lyons to cross for his third after a lovely flick pass from Blake Dunn with 23 to go to make it 34-8.
Tumut then had halfback Jordan Anderson sent off for a high tackle on Aisea Taholo with 22 to play.
Gundagai didn't take advantage as Tevita Aroha-Tuinauvai and Lewis Arragon made the scoreline a little more respectable for the Blues before Jack Lyons sealed the win with his second with three minutes to play.
