Three Victorians have been fined for not holding valid permits for entering NSW after being stopped at Hay early on Saturday morning.

"About 12.20am on Saturday, police stopped a car on the Sturt Highway at Hay," a NSW Police Force statement said.
"Police spoke with the occupants, who were from Victoria, and determined they didn't have a valid permit to enter NSW.
"The three occupants were issued an $1000 PIN for not comply with noticed direction [regarding] section 7/8/9 COVID-19."

The three people were part of a total of two people charged and eight fined by police across NSW for breaches to COVID-19 regulations over the past few days.
A 26-year-old Victorian man was also charged for trying to enter NSW via taxi on the Hume Highway at Albury on Saturday, and appeared in court in Wagga on Sunday.
