Since testing resumed last week, VicRoads has contacted all customers with postponed bookings to arrange a new appointment.
A backlog has been cleared quicker than anticipated and new appointments are available from Monday.
Medical review tests remain suspended across Victoria, based on the latest advice from Victoria's Chief Health Officer.
Disposable seat covers in vehicles and other hygiene measures will be used.
There have been calls for a online learner's permit test, with Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell welcoming the government's move to implement the measure recently.
She called for a remote online testing system for computer-based learner's permits and hazard perception tests in Victorian Parliament in August, and supported an e-petition initiated by Shepparton man David Doherty on the issue.
"Experts have told us that an online program can be up and running within weeks and the Minister needs to implement it immediately so our young drivers can get on the road quicker," she said.
