Operation Slow Down will launch from midnight on Friday through to midnight on Monday, October 5, with Riverina Police targeting everything from speeding through to mobile phone offences.
Riverina Highway Patrol Acting Inspector Ben Smith said a recent restructure of the unit would mean more police on watch.
"Riverina Highway Patrol have recently obtained a second Highway Patrol motorcycle and an additional Highway Patrol car, enabling us to increase our presence on Riverina roads," he said.
"We will be increasing our focus on high risk drivers, actively targeting those who use our roads while drink and drug driving."
Other offences being targeted will include fatigue, seatbelt offences, criminals using road networks and defective vehicles.
Acting Inspector Smith urged the community to keep a watchful eye over the roads as well.
"We can't be everywhere, I would encourage members of the public to contact Crime Stoppers when they witness risky driver behaviour, and we will use this information when tasking our police," he said.
