RSPCA Albury volunteer branch's garage sale and open day begins at 8am at the group's base, 610 Hume Street.
The outdoor function will include a sausage sizzle and coffee and encourage hand hygiene and social distancing.
Branch vice-president Lauren Black said surplus pet items would be offered for sale while people had also been donating articles.
"We get a whole range," she said.
"Household goods, we got a whole lot of wool donated this time as well as this beautiful handmade tapestry as well as white goods."

The day is also a chance for the general public to seek some advice or information from the branch co-ordinators.
"Have a chat with us about what they need or even more importantly if they've got an issue they want to talk about, prevention of problems," Ms Black said.
"Perhaps they may be thinking about surrendering one of their animals for any range of reasons, maybe they want to adopt a dog or a cat."
Money raised through the garage sale will support RSPCA Albury programs like foster and adoption, the community animal welfare scheme (desexing) and the information and education centre.
Ms Black said the community aged care and disability scheme arranged volunteers to take care of pets if their owners were in hospital.
"The other side of it is we support them to have their pets." she said.
"So if they've got to a stage where they really can't walk their dog any more, we'll walk them.
"We also help people to get their cats and dogs to vet visits if they need to, they may not be able to drive any more."
RSPCA Albury continued to take calls throughout the COVID-19 lockdown and since reopening its building has restricted visitors, with the volunteers going outside to deal with inquiries at a safe distance.
The vice-president said people had also held raffles, donated to the group through the Return and Earn scheme and joined in the online Million Paws Walk.
"We just asked everyone to walk their dog on the day and they sent us all photos on Facebook," she said.
"COVID's been difficult for everyone and so we really appreciate the support of the community."
