McDougall is set to partner the Donna Scott-trained Lord Von Costa in The Kosciuszko with the $1.3-million feature the biggest race of his career in terms of prizemoney.
The leading hoop landed a winning treble at Canberra on Friday after piloting Quideem, Astero and and To The Nines to victory in successive races.
Incredibly, McDougall also finished runner-up four times with only one runner finishing outside the placings from his book of eight rides.
McDougall also notched a treble at Albury on Saturday in an unbelievable riding performance.
He rode the first three legs of the main quaddie with Spanish Poet, Riverstock and Bautista all saluting.
IN OTHER NEWS
McDougall was robbed of the opportunity of riding the quaddie legs outright after Bellarina Magic was scratched at the barrier.
Trainer Donna Scott was unsure whether McDougall had previously ridden as many winners on consecutive days during his stellar career.
"Blaike is certainly up and about which gives us a bit of confidence in terms of the Kosciuszko," Scott said.
"We are going to need everything to be in our favour on Saturday and he is riding in terrific form.
"I think that may be the first time that he has been able to ride a treble on consecutive days but I'm not positive.
"He had a breakout season last year and has been able to regain that sort of form after he copped a suspension."
