The 1988 Games 400m runner has worked on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) circuit over the past decade.
"He spoke about strength and conditioning, so that was great and also used the bands (elastic rubber bands used for exercise and training)," Margaret Court Tennis Academy's Phil Shanahan said.
"He was also looking to running techniques and using fast feet, so it's important to get those basics right.
"The kids really enjoyed it, it was something new and gave them something else to focus on and other goals to achieve."

The tennis season is starting, although COVID-19 has thrown doubt on how the normally hectic summer schedule will look.
Shanahan confirmed the traditionally popular Margaret Court Cup will still be held in January, but travel restrictions, both nationally and internationally, will dictate the fields.
