Shannon Jeffrey and Christopher Forster each made a brief appearance in Wangaratta Magistrates Court on Monday and did not apply for bail.
Police allege the couple committed a shop theft in Vincent Road in Wangaratta on Friday morning before heading out to Eldorado.
The red Mercedes was allegedly stolen from Avoca, north west of Ballarat.
A member of the public came across the sports car, which was stuck on a rocky track in the bushland that is usually suited for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
He helped free the couple, but mentioned the incident to police, who arrested Jeffrey and Forster a short time later.
It was discovered they were people of significant interest to Ballarat police, who had been looking for them in relation to more than 25 alleged offences including aggravated burglary and car thefts.
MORE NEWS FROM COURT:
Loud screaming from the cells where Jeffrey and Forster were being kept at Wangaratta courthouse could be heard all the way into the Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
The noise from the cells prompted magistrate Peter Dunn to warn a teenager appearing in the Children's Court at the time that he did not want to be taken into custody for any offending.
Jeffrey - who had dreadlocked hair and was wearing a red Gucci jumper with black jeans - was quiet when she was brought into the court in handcuffs.
Solicitor Geoff Clancy said she needed to have a medical assessment in custody as she was withdrawing from a drug of dependence.
Her case was adjourned back to Ballarat Magistrates Court on December 3.
Forster was wearing a mask when he made his brief appearance in court.
Mr Clancy said he had an injured hand and needed medical attention.
His case was also adjourned to Ballarat on December 18.
