Grease is just one of the much-loved classic films to make a comeback at Albury's Regent Cinemas this month.
With the production of Hollywood blockbusters on the back-burner due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's opened the door up for cult favourites to be enjoyed again, or in some cases, for the first time.
Back To The Future, Dirty Dancing, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Aliens have all been dug out of the time capsule so far.
"It's really nice to see them back on the big screen," Cinema manager Kelly Davis said.
"Unfortunately Hollywood hasn't come to the party for us to have any big blockbusters, but they're certainly trying.
"Heading into summer we have a whole new crop of retro classics and cult faves that we're really looking forward to showing."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Goonies, Mary Poppins, The Never Ending Story and Australia's favourite plumber, Kenny, are some of the old titles on the cinema's radar.
The Border's only picture theatre wasn't able to welcome residents south of the border when they reopened their doors in August, but have since seen a significant increase in movie-goers after the easing of crossing restrictions.
They've also just experienced their first school holiday period since January.
Ms Davis admitted it looked a little bit different this time around, with strict COVID-19 practices still in place.
"We were by no means at our usual holiday craziness, or controlled chaos, as we like to call it," Ms Davis said.
"One of the best things about going to the movies is social interaction and that's what everyone's been craving lately.
"Now we've just got to try and keep our doors open until Hollywood opens again and we can get some blockbusters back in for everyone."
Albury's Regent Cinemas also experienced a makeover this year during the pandemic shutdown.
Ms Davis said while she hasn't witnessed any Pink Ladies, T-Birds, or beauty school drop outs walk through the cinema door for a viewing yet, it's not off the cards.
"We haven't had any customers dress up as yet, but that's not to say it's not going to happen," she said.
