Walsh appeared before Albury Local Court on Wednesday.
He was released with multiple bail conditions.
The case will return on December 15.
EARLIER: A Corowa man will face Albury court on Wednesday after allegedly having explicit conversations with a supposed 13-year-old girl online.
The 40-year-old man allegedly spoke of sexually explicit acts he wished to perform on the person, unaware it was actually child abuse detectives on the other end.
Police started engaging with the man online in July.
The man was arrested about 9am on Tuesday and was charged at Corowa Police Station with using a carriage service to procure a child under 16 for sexual activity.

He was refused bail by police and will face court on Wednesday.
"Strike Force Trawler is an ongoing investigation by the Child Abuse and Sex Crime Squad's Child Exploitation Internet Unit into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices," a police spokesman said.
"Regular covert online investigations are conducted by the CEIU and police in NSW work closely with their law-enforcement colleagues interstate and overseas."
