Front Page had plenty of early support and was backed from $6 into $4.60 after drawing favourably in gate eight.
But it was the Brett Cavanough-trained It's Me who attracted the most attention from punters.
It's Me drew one gate inside Front Page in barrier seven.
Punters quickly snapped-up the $2.60 on offer with It's Me now into as short as $2.20 for the feature race.
Border trainers Donna Scott and Mitch Beer were also beaming after the barrier draw for the world's richest race for country trained horses.
The Beer trained Redouble drew the inside barrier and will have the Scott trained Lord Von Costa starting alongside him.
Despite fairing well at the barrier draw both Redouble and Lord Von Costa drifted notably in betting.
Redouble was wound out from $26 to $31.
While Lord Von Costa blew from $34 to $41.
