"It was an amazing effort, but to be honest it isn't surprising given the generosity of our community," director Jacqui Partington said.
"A lot of people either know someone who has reached out to us or have done so themselves.
"With all our fundraising events cancelled until further notice this will go a long way."

Beyond Bank doubled donations up to $5000 on the day.
Since March the organisation has provided more than 5000 nightly meals in takeaway form and hundreds of school lunches.
"Carevan certainly hasn't shied away from doing the hard yards, adapting and changing what we do to make sure those in our community are supported," Ms Partington said.
