Strome was an impressive winner at Caulfield last Wednesday with jockey Jamie Kah aboard.
It was Strome's third start for the O'Prey after loyal stable supporter and well-known breeder Reg Ryan recently purchased the horse.
The well performed mare has won more than $400,000 from eight wins and a further eight placings from 39 starts.
O'Prey said Ryan specifically bought the horse to support local trainers and prove they can match their city counterparts if given the opportunity with better credentialled gallopers.

"Reg is passionate about local racing and bought the horse to help lift my profile which I'm grateful for," O'Prey said.
"Not just me but country trainers in general.
"As you know racing in Victoria is ultra-competitive and it's tough to even get a winner at Wodonga now with a lot of the bigger Melbourne stables targeting the country tracks.
"So Reg backed his judgement in buying the horse and trusted me to train her.
"Getting a city win has paid for her purchase price and there are a couple of races suitable for her over the Melbourne Cup carnival."
O'Prey said Strome could also target next month's Wodonga Cup, depending on her allocated weight.
