Peter Ward, 42, was refused bail in Albury Local Court following his arrest.
He will return on November 2.
EARLIER: A Victorian man has been charged after crossing the border in a taxi while carrying more than $14,000, ice and drug paraphernalia.
NSW Police said a taxi was stopped at the Wodonga Place, South Albury, checkpoint about 4.40am on Monday, with officers speaking to the driver and a passenger.
The passenger presented a valid permit but did not have any identification.
Police checks revealed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for traffic offences.
IN OTHER NEWS:
During a search of the man, officers allegedly found more than $14,000 in cash, methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The items were seized for forensic examination.
The Victorian man was arrested an taken to Albury police station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, deal with proceeds of crime and the outstanding arrest warrant.
He was refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court today.
