IMPROVEMENTS COMING: Firefighters worked hard to fight bushfires this summer, including in Jingellic. The NSW government has funded what it says are urgent and unavoidable recommendations from the state's inquiry first.

A $192 million NSW government funding package to address issued raised by the state's bushfire inquiry will include $2.5 million to fix the "fires near me" mobile app that caused confusion on the Border this summer.
